We're all ears, help rabbits everywhere
Dear Supporter,

Happy New Year - 2011 is the Year of the Rabbit!

Thank you so much for taking part in the Great Big Rabbit Survey. We had a fantastic response with almost 8,400 people telling us all about their rabbits. It's clear that you're as passionate about rabbits as we are!

You told us that you'd like us to keep in touch with you, so we're planning to contact you every month or so via email with all the latest information and advice about keeping rabbits - along with some snippets of the survey results.

Rabbit welfare is a top priority for the RSPCA. We're at the start of a journey to improve pet rabbit welfare and we look forward to working with all the rabbit owners, like yourself, who signed up to the campaign to make sure all rabbits lead happy and healthy lives.

Two rabbits, royalty free image from Shutterstock We've got a few things planned for this year, kicking off with supporting Rabbit Awareness Week (RAW): 23 - 29 May 2011. 2011 is the Year of the Rabbit, and RAW is all about raising awareness of all things rabbit! This year's hot topic will be rabbit behaviour.

57 per cent of you said you'd like to see your rabbit as the face of a rabbit publicity campaign. So, why not get involved and enter your photogenic bunnies into the competition to be the face of Rabbit Awareness Week? The winner will receive a professional photo shoot of their rabbits and the photos will be used in all RAW materials. Remember to ensure your rabbits are comfortable being photographed

We received hundreds of photos of your rabbits during the survey and we have uploaded lots of these lovely pictures onto the RSPCA Flickr page - take a peek.

Thanks again for your support. Together we will make sure that all pet rabbits are happy and healthy.
